How RFID Blocking Works

By creating a shield that blocks the ability to power and communicate with the RFID chip, our products protect personal information stored on these items. Unfortunately, industry-standard security measures implemented for user protection are easily by-passed with modification, so complete protection requires additional security.

My Thoughts

Lately, I've been hearing a lot of stories on the news about people being able to scan through your wallet and getting your credit card information. That's really scary because you will still have your card and not know someone is ringing up hundreds, if not thousands on your credit card until it's to late. So, when I got the chance to review this Identity Stronghold 10 Credit Card & 2 Passport Holders Case Set, I was very willing to do it.

The sleeves fit my credit / debit cards and passports very well. It's pretty easy to slide my card in and out of the sleeve. Yes, is it another step and a bit more "time consuming"- yes, but I'll take the extra time in order to have another level of security and protection without the worry about someone being able to steal my information. When I first looked over the sleeves, I honesty thought this might be a scam because they look just like plain paper. But, I opened one up and my husband and I started to rub at the inside and we started to see the silver, which we think is like an aluminum / silver paper. That must be what blocks the scanner.

Overall, this is a great way to keep thieves from scanning and stealing your credit card information. And, the price is good for how many you get. Now, I haven't had the chance to really test them, to see if they work because I don't have a RFID scanner lying around, nor do I know anyone that does, but I do feel a little bit more secure, knowing my information is being protected, for that just in case moment. It's better than nothing.
